  • Arches National Park

Arches National Park is a U.S. National Park in eastern Utah. It is known for preserving over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the world-famous Delicate Arch, in addition to a variety of unique geological resources and formations. The park is located just outside of Moab, Utah, and is 76,679 acres in area.

na-moab-archies-national-parkForty-three arches have collapsed due to erosion since 1970. The national park lies atop an underground evaporite layer or salt bed, which is the main cause of the formation of the arches, spires, balanced rocks, sandstone fins, and eroded monoliths in the area. Arches National Park offers a number of incredible hikes and other activities and is just a short drive from the city of Moab.

  • Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands National Park, established in 1964, preserves 527 square miles of colourful landscape that has eroded into countless canyons, mesas, arches and buttes by the Colorado River and its tributaries. The Colorado and Green Rivers divide the park into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze and the rivers themselves.
