Melbourne is the iconic capital city of Victoria, on the east coast in southern Australia. It boasts glamorous festivals and events, arguably Australia’s best shopping, a lively passion for eating and drinking, and a thriving arts community.

Great vestiges of nineteenth-century architecture built following the discovery of gold, are heady reminders of a prosperous age, while beautifully tended parks and gardens provide a therapeutic respite from the pace of city life.

With its hidden laneways, quirky cafes and restaurants and exciting food and art scene, Melbourne is a cosmopolitan melting pot of culture and style.

Easily added to an Australian itinerary and only an hour’s flight from Sydney, Melbourne is also the gateway to diverse regional landscapes and unique attractions, from national parks and forests teeming with wildlife to wineries, lakes and mountains offering skiing, climbing and hiking.

Experience a breathtaking hot-air balloon adventure over the Yarra Valley vineyards, taste the fine food and wines of the Mornington Peninsula, the Dandenong Ranges or Gippsland or  drive one of the most iconic coastlines in Australia, the Great Ocean Road with its famous Twelve Apostles.
