    Known as "The Land of Kings,” Rajasthan is often considered to be the cultural heart of India. The state is diagonally divided into the hilly southeastern region and the barren northwestern Great Thar Desert, which extends across the border into Pakistan.

    Day 1: Delhi

    On arrival at Delhi's International Airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel. No activities have been planned and what remains of the day is at your leisure.

    Just within reach of Delhi's bustling city centre, your hotel is a luxurious retreat offering an ideal base from which to explore the city's many diverse charms - Rashtrapati Bhavan, the peaceful Lodhi gardens and many other iconic sites.

    Day 2: Dehli

    Today you enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Delhi visiting Chandni Chowk (once the grandest of markets in India), Qutub Minar, (the world's tallest brick minaret) and Humayun's Tomb (a declared UNESCO World Heritage Site).

    Day 3: Dehli/Agra

    Today you are met and transferred by road to Agra (a drive of around 3 hours).

    On arrival, you visit Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal by sunset.

    The red sandstone Agra Fort was renovated and converted into a palace during Shah Jahan's time, and reworked extensively with marble and pietra dura inlay.

    The Taj Mahal is said to be one of the most elegant and harmonious buildings in the world. Taj Mahal is the manifestation of the wealth and luxury of Mughal art as seen in its architecture, garden design, painting, and calligraphy.

    Day 4: Agra/Fatehpur Sikri/Jaipur

    This afternoon you are met and transferred to Jaipur (a drive of around 5 hours). En-route you enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Fatehpur Sikri. This historical city was constructed by Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century and served as the empire's capital from 1571 until 1585.

    Jaipur is a walled city, vibrant with colours, housing the City Palace, an astronomical observatory and a bustling bazaar.

    Day 5: Jaipur

    This morning you will depart on your private tour of Amber Fort.

    The stunning Amber Fort is built all in white marble and red sandstone. It was the ancient citadel and is known for its unique artistic style, blending both Hindu and Muslim (Mughal) elements, and its ornate and breathtaking artistic mastery.

    Today you will also visit Dera Amer for an Elephant ride followed by lunch, as well as the City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Observatory Tower.

    Day 6: Jaipur/Ranthambore

    This morning you travel to Ranthambore (a drive of around 3 ½ hours). One of India's most popular nature reserves, Ranthambore National Park is known for its small population of tigers. A hunting ground for the local maharajas until 1970, the park has since become a refuge for hundreds of species of birds, mammals and reptiles.

    This evening you enjoy a game drive.

    Day 9: Ranthambore/Shahpura Bagh

    After your morning game drive, you are met and chauffeured to Shahpura Bagh (a drive of around 3½ hours). Heavily wooded and hemmed in by two lakes, Shahpura Bagh is an expansive estate with beautiful, verdant wetlands. According to legend, the region owes its lush beauty to Rajadhiraj Nahar Singh of Shahpura, who, fearing a period of drought, mortgaged his family's private property and jewels to bring water to his people. The man-made lakes he created now form the heart of a rich wetland refuge that forms a haven for local birdlife.

    Today you have the option to explore Shahpura and visit the local village.

    Day 11: Shahpura/Jawai Leopard Camp

    This morning you travel overland to Jawai Leopard Camp (a 5 hour drive).

    Jawai Leopard Camp is comprised of 8 luxurious tents. The Camp lies upstream of one of western Rajasthan's largest water reservoirs, which attract an array of migratory birds, including flamingos, geese and cranes.

    Later today enjoy the safari to the Jawai Bandh.

    Day 13: Jawai Leopard Camp/Udaipur

    This morning you travel overland to Udaipur (a 3 hour drive). Udaipur is undoubtedly one of India's most romantic cities, nestled between the glassy waters of its famous lakes and the ancient Aravalli Hills. Although it is one of Rajasthan's largest cities, modern Udaipur manages to retain a charming small-town vibe.

    Today after a leisurely breakfast you spend the day visiting the City Palace, crystal gallery, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion Ki Bari (an 18th century Maharani zenana).
