Ecuador is an incredible culturally and naturally rich country straddling the equator on South America’s west coast.  Its diverse landscape includes deep Amazon jungle, Andean highlands and epic wildlife on the volcanic Galápagos Islands.

Set high in the Andean foothills at an elevation of 2850m, Quito is the capital, known for its largely intact Spanish colonial architecture and the very first UNESCO World Heritage site to be named. Decorated with 16th- and 17th-century palaces and churches it includes the ornate Compañía de Jesús cathedral.

Stay at an authentic Hacienda, visit vast rose farms, climb one of the numerous volcanoes such as Cotopaxi, stay at an eco lodge in the Cloud Forest, see mountain villages, colourful markets and sun-drenched beaches. Discover the Equadorian landscape and its warm-hearted people. Both are cultural treasures of this amazing country.

For a vastly different wildlife experience, take a journey into the extraordinary marine wilderness of the Galápagos Islands. Experience first-hand the lumbering giant tortoise, land and marine iguana – uniquely adapted to their environment. The Galapagos is like something from a prehistoric era.
