A world of discovery awaits in South America with travel destinations so colourful and diverse you will want to see and experience it all.  From the rugged landscapes of Patagonia to the cultural magnificence of the Incan Empire in Peru, South America is a continent unlike any other.

Head to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador for a vastly different wildlife experience – get up close and personal with giant lumbering tortoises and marine iguanas (the world’s only seagoing lizard). Doe-eyed sea lions, blue-footed boobies and a host of other unusual species both on land and sea live in this famed wildlife paradise. Because these birds and animals have no fear of humans in these protected islands, you can get incredibly close for some amazing photographic opportunities. Brad crouched down with this swallow-tailed gull to catch this incredible reflection of the island hopping gang in the bird’s eye !

Trek in to the Andes, across glaciers and climb to Macchu Pichu to explore ancient Incan civilisations. Try your hand at piranha fishing on the Amazon River or kayak amongst the icebergs of the Southern Ice field in Chile and Argentina.

Set out on the rivers and forested trails of the Amazon rainforest in search of monkeys, sloths, toucans and river dolphins, or to the Pantanal to see the mighty jaguars and journey into the heart of the South American wilderness.
