Everyone at Epic lives and breathes the product and the places we sell. We want you to feel the passion, awe and respect for these precious wilderness destinations. We're now into our third decade of Epic excellence in an industry we love.
Straddling the Indian ocean and the west coast of Australia through to the South Pacific and Southern oceans off the NZ coast, there is so much to see (and eat and drink) in this part of the world. Eating oysters from and standing in the waters around Hobart, Tasmania, to helicopter rides out to remote Great Barrier reef atolls or fly fishing for huge trout in pristine, remote NZ rivers. Fresh produce, some of the world’s best restaurants and wineries, wilderness escapes like the Kimberley in Western Australia or Kakadu NP in the Northern Territory, if you’re coming down this way be sure to give yourself the time to enjoy and explore it.
Australia is vast, New Zealand much more compact, it does makes sense to take in both countries in your itinerary, particularly if you’re making the haul from the northern hemisphere. Even in the middle of a southern winter, you might be skiing in Queenstown, NZ in minus 5 degrees celsius and then a couple of days later, looking at saltwater crocs in the NT in 34 degrees celsius big blue days. Aussies and Kiwis forever compare and debate the various merits of their homelands, but whatever the good natured rivalry, the space, the air, the extraordinary natural wonders and the hospitality of the people are a fantastic combination for travellers. Come and see what you’ve been missing out on. Did we mention beaches !
